Over fifty percent of the graduating Class of 2007 from Gorman left the school with scores of “3” (passing) or higher on Advanced Placement Exams. Twenty-seven students in the class of forty-four took 93 AP tests in eleven different subjects; 54 of them had scores of three or higher. The Gorman AP Excellence Rating of 50% is over three times the national average of graduating seniors in the class of 2007 (Texas average: 13.1%; National average is 13.2%).

 

Fifty-two Gorman high school students earned potential college credit through “passing” ( “3” or higher) scores on twelve different advanced placement tests taken in May, 2007. Special commendation to the first-year AP Studio Art program for which all students (100%) who submitted AP portfolios earned passing scores. Student enrollment in Advanced Placement classes has grown to over 165, up from 43 in 1999-2000 school year.
