- Prayer Intentions:
- For families and communities to work together to create safe environments especially during April, Child Abuse Awareness Month.
- Mr. Harvey, paternal grandfather of Andrew Harvey 9'08) and William ('06), who died this week.
- Mrs. Wolfe, maternal great grandmother of Ricky Hand ('10), who died this week.
- Communion Service: In chapel today at 7:40 a.m.
- HS Stanford Testing: Today ion the Milam Joseph Center. Students in grades 9-11 start school at 8:45 a.m. This is a late start date for HS students in grades 9-11. Students can be dropped off after 7:30 a.m. the same as a usual day.
- Library Closing: The Holy Family Library will be closed today at 10:30 am to 2:30 pm for Stanford Testing.
- Capstone Faculty Review Panel: Today in the Holy Family Library, seniors will defend their topic and thesis choice in front of the Capstone Faculty Panel.
- TODAY'S PICKUP: After school pickup today will be tenuous with many visitors on campus for the Jack Elliott Relays (15 teams). Parents and guardians are encouraged to pick students up as soon after school as possible, especially on the MS side. Patience will be needed.
- HS Jack Elliot Relays: Today starting at 2:30 p.m. in McCallum Stadium. Meet program is attached.
- HS Softball: Today vs. Shelton at Carney Field at 4:00 p.m.
- HS Baseball: Today vs. Plano Prestonwood at 7:00 p.m. at Crusader Field.
- 2008 STG Fun Run Tee Shirt Day: This Friday, April 4, 2008, students will be able to wear 2008 STG Fun Run tee shirts instead of the usual school shirt. All students must wear regular school uniforms from the waist down.
- STG Fun Run: This Saturday, April 5, 2008. The 5k begins at 8:00 a.m. Registration form and information is available at http://www.tkgorman.net/site/node/2532
- Class of 2008 Graduation Speaker: This year's Graduation Speaker is Mr. Larry McLellan, who retires this year as an educator after 39 years in the classroom.
- First Friday Eucharistic Adoration: This Friday, April 4, 2008 in the TKG Chapel from 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- MS Band Competition: TPSMEA Concert/Sight-Reading Contest this Friday, April 4, 2008; students will be gone all day. Teachers and staff can access the attached roster.
- Accelerated Reader of the Month: Anthony Milton named Reader of March and qualifier of Year-End Six Flags Trip: Congratulations to Anthony for his success in reading and for a very proud moment on Wednesday when he received the prize from Dad, Rev. Milton.
- HS Academic and Arts TAPPS State Meet: In Austin beginning Friday, April 4, 2008.
- 2008 Yearbooks: Order your 2007-2008 yearbooks today. The nationally-recognized Gorman yearbook has undergone additional changes this year to capture even more additional events and subjects important to us. This all-color, 208-page composition is the largest ever in Gorman history and has already caught the eyes of Taylor Publishing, one of the nation's largest yearbook publishers. Order forms are now available in several locations. If you have not received an individual form through mail, feel free to download a copy at this [ LINK ]. You can return order forms to the office before May 31, however supplies are limited. Books will be distributed in August. Make sure you get your own copy.

- Senior Theology Classes to East Texas Hospice: Wednesday, April 9, 2008.
- Spring Spectacular: HS and MS Band and Choir Concert on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 6 p.m. in the Haddad Gym.
- TAPPS State Music Competition: Friday and Saturday, April 11-12, 2008 in Abilene.
- Holy Family Library Renovations: Attached list of sponsors. Many thanks to all who supported this important project.
- MS Girls Safety Program: RadKids, a Personal Empowerment Safety Education program, will be presented to the MS girls during P.E. classes in April. This program will be presented by certified instructors Suzy Beck and Kelly Jackman. Assistance is needed to help underwrite the $600 cost for program materials. Interested individuals can contact Suzy @ 561-4053 or Kelly @ 570-1800.
- Brick Patio Project - To further develop the brick patio project located adjacent to the high school gymnasium, engraved bricks are being sold by the Environmental Science class. The price per brick is $50 with up to four lines engraved. Suggested themes are: in memory of; in honor of: to honor; etc. Characters are 1/2" tall with eighteen characters per line and spaces count as characters. Please complete the form below and return to the school office along with your check by May 15, 2008. Thank you for your help with this project.
