New Arrivals

Over 150 new books will be added to the main collection this month, including many award titles from the newest Newbery, Bluebonnet, Lonestar and Tayshas reading lists. Please check the library webpage for the complete listing in May. Many audio and video resources are also added to their collections. See attachment for details. They are available for general circulation.

End of Circulation: May 15, 2008

All items are to be returned to the library by May 15, 2008. Special arrangements may be made with Mrs. Wellmon if additional time is needed for class projects and assignments. Please clear also all overdue items and fines by May 20, 2008.

Accelerated Reader News

Final AR Store Coming Soon

The current AR season will go out with much fanfare as readers enjoy their moneyless shopping at the final store. All points must be spent by May 19 and 20 for the Library to get ready to welcome the 2008-2009 Season. Volunteers and donations are needed to make the store a truly memorable event for the readers. Please contact Diana Jones, Patricia Vasquez or Chi-Shim Wellmon if you would like to help or contribute.

The Super Seventh Grade Readers Did It!

For the first time in the AR history, the 7th graders have met the AR Class Challenge twice in a year. Participating readers will enjoy a trip to the TJC Planetarium for a show donated by “Star Mom” Cindy Mikule.
