- Junior and Senior Football Players and Cheerleaders: At St. Gregory this morning to greet the students as they arrive. Tonight is STG night at the football game.

- HS Football (V) vs. Lovelady: 7:30 p.m. in McCallum Stadium. St. Gregory night. **Season pass needed for entry or admissions cost.
- HS and MS Cross Country Meet: This weekend at Katy's Ranch, near Kilgore, TX. Students depart: 6:00 a.m.. Runs begin at 8:00 a.m. Order of runs: V Girls; JV Girls; V Boys; JV Boys, MS Girls; MS Boys. Directions available at school.

- Booster Club Passes Needed: When gaining admission to sporting events at Bishop Gorman students and parents or guardians must have Season Passes with them to enter the athletic event without paying admissiuons fee. Individuals who do not have a pass with them will be asked to pay the admission price. "No Exceptions!"
- Voter Registration for Students and Parents: Mr. Jerril Burnette, a volunteer deputy registrar, is available for voter registration for anyone in the TKG community today and Monday September 22, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The deadline to register for the November 4 election is October 1, 2008.
- HS Political Debates: High School students interested in taking part in a political debate over the issues leading up to this years Presidential Elections will meet during advisory on Monday Sept 22nd, and Friday September 26th. The Young Republicans will meet in Mr. Lonnie Glosson's room in the Middle School Gym basement. The Young Democrats will meet in Mrs. Daye Collins room.
- Archaeological Dig Museums: The World History Class has set up museums in the hall in the basement outside room 300 to display their artifacts and findings from their archaeological dyg and research. Students and parents are invited to come by and view their displays.
- PTO Annual Auction: See attached forms for PTO Auction opportunities. Consider supporting this largest annual fund-raiser for the TCSS through a sponsorship, program ad purchase or donated item. "Off to the Races" will be held on November 1, 2008 starting at 6pm at the Cascades Club House. Hope to see you there.
- St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the Poor Walk: Next Saturday, September 27, 2008. See attached flyer for more information.
- Cheer Clinic Rescheduled: The postponed Gorman varsity Cheerleader Cheer Clinic has been rescheduled for Saturday,October 4, 2008 from 2-6 p.m. The participants of the clinic will perform at the Prestonwood Game on Friday, October 10, 2008. Please contact Vickie Williams or Tonya Pittman for details.

- Looking Ahead to Next Week:
- Ethics and Integrity Training: The next Diocese of Tyler Ethics and Integrity certification training session will be held on Monday, September 22, at the Cathedral Center from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.. All parents who volunteer or chaperone school activities are required to attend the session every three years. Call Terri Bolton at the Cathedral office at 903-592-1617 to register for the session. There is no charge for the session; however, a $10 fee is collected for a background check.
- Tyler Catholic School Council Meeting: Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cathedral Office Building.
- Fall Picture Retakes: Thursday, September 25, 2008 from 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. in the cefetria. Regular school uniform.
- Library Reading Incentives Meeting: Parents or guardians who are interested in the Gorman library reading incentives program renovations are invited to a public forum on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Holy Family Library. - TKG's Got Talent: The Gorman Talent Show will be held Friday, September 26, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.Tickets are $5 and are available at the door. Concessions stands will be open.
