Coming to the Library
- A written pass is required during:
- Class time from subject teacher
- Morning from teacher in charge (MS only)
- Advisory from the advisory teacher (MS only)
- Lunch time from lunch room teachers (MS only)
- Scheduled classes always have space priority over individual students.
- Notice will be given when the library is closed.
Library Atmosphere/Student Behavior
- Be respectful.
- Be considerate.
- Be responsible.
- Be on task.
Library Resources/Circulation
- Borrowers are responsible for any library materials checked out.
- Students may check out up to 5 items.
- Students with late books or library fines will not be able to check out any more library materials until all records are cleared.
- Use Online Catalog (OPAC) to search for appropriate library books (Main Collection), music CDs (Audio Cassette/ CD Collection) or Video (Video Collection)
Regular Books, Music Ministry CDs and Audio Books
- They are normally due after 3 weeks and are renewable for 3 more weeks if not reserved.
- Librarian reserves the right to recall a loaned item when necessary.
Videos and Periodicals
- May be checked out for 2 days.
Reference Books and Reserved Materials
- May be checked out for overnight use and are due back before the 1st block the next day.
- Special Reserves are to be used in the library only.
Electronic Databases
- Remote Access passwords are given to students and faculty for all library databases.
Overdue Materials
A grace period of 5 days will be allowed for all borrowers to return or renew late materials without being charged for the fines. A weekly notice will also be issued to borrowers regarding their late materials. An additional charge of $1.00 will be added to each borrower's account on a weekly basis if the library records are not cleared 3 days after the 3rd notice. Parents/ guardians will be notified at this point.
FinesBooks/ CDs/ Periodicals---------------------------10 cents/ school day
References/ Reserved materials/ Videos-----------------25 cents/ period or school day
Lost/Damaged Materials
- All lost items will be paid for by the borrowers. A processing fee of $1.50 plus relevant fines may be added to the costs.
- Fees for damaged items will be assessed by the librarian and will be charged to cover repair or replacement.
- Do not attempt to repair damaged materials.
- Report damage to librarian.
Computer Use
- Computer use is a privilege and is reserved for EDUCATIONAL USE ONLY.
- Users must sign in and follow agreements specified in Computer Use Policy. Internet use may be monitored and timed.
- Priority is always given to a scheduled class rather than individual users.
AR Testing
- Follow AR Honor Codes.
- Any violations will be reported as cheating.
